What is Winter Lacrosse?
Calgary Winter Lacrosse provides coaching and training to those kids who just don’t want to put their stick down for the snowy season.
- The players are not divided into teams, they are in an age appropriate group and are guided by certified players of the Jr. B Tier I Mountaineers
- As the players get better at their skills, the coaches will run scrimmages to help the players learn how the game is played
Is this a good place for kids who have never played before?
Yes this is a great place to get familiar with the great game of lacrosse.
Is winter lacrosse open to all clubs?
Of course, we are one big lacrosse community.
Why do you need my Alberta Health Care number?
Just in case your child has any sort of issue while they are in our care. We require this for our own insurance policy, and in the event of any accidental contact or injury that may occur, we can provide this to the health care providers straight away
Where do you play?
We play out of the new annex at the Soccer Centre in the Foothills Industrial Park in SE Calgary.
Is there full contact?
Yes, but not like you would see in game situations. It is more about positioning and defending.
What lacrosse equipment do I need ?
You will need all your regular gear. Safety first and foremost.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds may be requested up to the start of the applicable session, less administration fees for payment and refund processing
Due to the discounted rates for goalies with equipment, no refunds will be issued after the first session
No refunds will be issued after the third session has begun
Any drop out request will surrender your spot in the session(s) registered
Refunds can take upwards of 3 weeks to process and deliver
What age are the players and how are the groups divided out ?
Ages range from 5-6 up to 16-17.
Sorry, we do not have a Junior program – check your local club for drop in times.
